Jennifer Keenan has been working in early childhood education for more than 30 years. She was a kindergarten and 1st-grade teacher for 9 years in New York before moving to Vermont to raise her children.  She has a BA from the University of Massachusetts and a Masters Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Ed. from Bank Street College of Education.  She did post-graduate work for her administrative certification at Antioch New England. 

Jennifer was hired to open the  Early Education Center for WNESU in 2002.  As the program grew, and as both Vermont’s and WNESU's commitment to preK education grew, she became the teaching principal in 2009. Jennifer is also the Universal PreK (UPK) Coordinator, managing WNESU’s partnerships with private preK programs. 

 

Jennifer has two grown sons and lives in Saxtons River, Vermont.  In her free time, she enjoys all that the beautiful outdoors has to offer- snowshoeing, hiking, kayaking, gardening… and indoors, she knits.
